Welcome to by blog!  My name is Bill Byrne and I work as registered nurse on the ICU at Concord Hospital - Concord, NH.  I started Medication Calculationsto help healthcare workers involved in administering medications increase patient safety by improving their ability to calculate medication doses accurately and with confidence.  I started Medication Calculations in 2012 after many years of involvement with this topic at New Hampshire Technical Institute - Concord, NH as a student and alumnus teaching students.  Dimensional analysis is my preferred approach to medication calculations, however, more traditional approaches such as ratio analysis or formula analysis can be done safetly and are discussed on this blog.  To contact me, please email medicationcalculations@gmail.com
